Guadeloupe - Chef of the Restaurant l’Orchidéa in Saint-François

After twelve years of experience acquired from renowned chefs such as Pascal Borrell, Philippe Rigollot, Christian Constant, Joel Robuchon, Cyril Lignac, Jean-Marie Gautier and Jean-Francois Berard, Arnaud Bloquel decided to open his own restaurant in Guadeloupe, under the sign of renewal.

In 2014, the birth of the Orchidea in the heights of the Golf of Saint-François. The Chef wants to stand out by offering a refined and inventive cuisine, which highlights the French gastronomy and local products, while at the same time always paying respect to the seasons.

In 2018, was the creation of the Brewery le Square in the International Golf of Saint-François. The Chef set up a new team and offers a gourmet menu around the bistronomy, with tapas evenings on Friday and Saturday. In parallel, he won in April the title of Maître Restaurateur of the year 2018 during the national contest ‘Panier Mystere’.

In 2019, the work of Arnaud Bloquel and his team at the Orchidea in Saint-François was again rewarded, this time by the famous Gault & Millau who, after having evaluated a number of restaurants in the Antilles-Guyane sector, awarded to Arnaud Bloquel the title of Chef of the Year, and to the Orchidea restaurant a mark of 15/20 and 3 Toques in the 2019 guide.
